I am still pregnant.

That is all.

And it sucks to be pregnant this long. Seriously.

The kid is out of room... and his movement style changed... prompting a quick visit to the OB today for another NST to make sure he's okay. Yep. He's fine. He's just out of room. Great kid... take the hint and come out. I had one contraction while hooked up to the monitor and it only went up to a “20.” Hurt like hell... and the REAL contractions go up to like 140. Fun.

I'm to that stage where:

1. if I don't answer the phone people panic and think I've had the baby and am keeping it a secret. Trust me. If we know you well enough to be on a phone-call friendship... you'll know within a couple of hours of the little guy's arrival.

2. All people can think of to say to me is “Hang in there.” Please, please do not say that to me. My OB said it to me today and I wanted to punch him in the face. Here's the thing... I DON'T HAVE A CHOICE. I cannot make this baby come any faster. I can't choose to be NOT pregnant for a few hours and take a break. If I could, I would do it. I'd hand the uterus over to Drew for 24 hours and let him be pregnant for a couple of days. I have no choice but to “hang in there.” Do not suggest it as a coping mechanism.

3. I'm very crabby. (see 1 & 2 above)

So, that's all I've got today. Complaints and rants. Boy am I fun to be around!

37 weeks pregnant.

Still pregnant.

And you'll have to wait to find out if our son's name is one of the names on my belly!

We all slept through the night!

Hurray!

Poor Grant still isn't feeling 100% but he seems to have just a regular old cold and we can deal with that.

I haven't had many contractions today.

Drew got some sleep.

We're all sort of back to normal.

Drew worked from home today.

I demanded a trip to the Bradford farm store.

One of my friends discovered that they had a delivery of Honey Crisp apples.

Have you ever had a honey crisp apple? If not, you're truly missing out. They are a little piece of heaven... and have a very short season. Usually they come a little later, but I don't ask questions, I just eat them.

This morning we headed over to the store (just about 20 minutes from our house) and I was SO excited. This farm store is so cute. It's like 90% local produce... they have things like organic bananas which aren't from around here.

I stocked up on some awesome treats.

Of course... the apples... and a couple of lemons.

Some fresh goat cheese... Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm breakfast just got a lot more interesting.

Fresh sweet cream butter. MMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

I've eaten almost the whole jar of Okra... it's just SO good.

We also got some falafel chips but they're gone.

In my fantasy life all of our produce would come from our garden... our bread would all be homemade... I'd never ever watch TV because I'd be too busy quilting and gardening and hiking and camping and training for a triathlon or reading a really fantastic book.

I'm not there yet, so I can compromise and get food from local farms and know we're at least eating local and supporting organic farsm.
