No reason to send out a search party... all is well here. A long... long... busy day. Grant was up at 6;15 this morning – but he slept through the night without his pacifier, so I'll take that. Had to get up early anyway to get to an OB appointment. Baby is fine... his heartbeat was 153. My next appointment isn't for another 4 weeks! AND... it's an ultrasound appointment. They want to keep a close eye on the baby's size because of GD babies being bigger. I really love ultrasounds, but the measurements aren't exact and I don't want them to decide based on inexact measurements that I can't have a VBAC. Anyway, we'll get to see the little guy again in a month. After the OB – off to Target for some groceries... then home. Apparently, Grant won't nap without a pacifier. After battling him in his room for more than an hour I figured it was okay for him to not nap today. I did something for the first time ever... I put him downstairs to play while I cleaned the upstairs. It had to be done... my sister-in-law is coming tomorrow and she needs sheets on her bed and a clean bathroom to use. It worked out just fine. We played hard this afternoon. Tonight, I put him down early. He cried and cried. He kissed his picture of dad. I told him I was going downstairs to vacuum... and he went to sleep. Just like that. No pacifier needed. Hooray! I have some computer things to do tonight while I indulge in crap TV. OH – AND – huge blood sugar break through. My fasting sugar was 64 this morning!!!! WOO HOO! Right on target!!!!!! (actually, a touch low. Think I'll go back to 22 to see how it goes tomorrow). Charlotte is getting, for lack of a better word, douched with rain tonight. They said we might get as much as four inches overnight. I just hope it doesn't storm... Grant is terrified of thunder. Thank you to all of my wonderful friends who checked on me today. (And my mom called early this morning... I didn't know she read my blog regularly... so thanks mom!) Sometimes I feel like an island out here – and my closest local friends are out of town this weekend (otherwise I wouldn't have felt so alone). All seems to be well here... pregnant lady exhausted from two sold days of chasing a high-energy toddler while getting kicked from the inside. Next week I'm gonna need some serious downtime!
